Many Aussies know Ignition for its online casino games. The site is one that has been in the igaming market since the year 2000, though it started with poker only. It eventually changed its name and began to offer more games, like virtual sports, live dealer games, and casino slots and card games.
Ignition always keeps a hand in the poker game, so to speak. And the Ignition Poker site regularly offers poker series for players around the world. Its most famous series is the Black Diamond Poker Open. And the 10th iteration of the series began this weekend.
Tenth Anniversary Celebration
For the tenth year, Ignition Poker is running its Black Diamond Poker Open, better known to some as the BDPO. The annual tournament series offers events for players at all buy-in levels and millions of dollars in guarantees.
This year, Ignition Poker is using its BDPO to celebrate 10 years by hosting the biggest series in its history. There are 200 events on the massive schedule and more than $10M in prize pool guarantees.
The first events started this weekend – on Saturday, February 27 – and they will run through March 31.

Buy-ins throughout the series range from $6 all the way up to $1,055.
Players have ample time to get in on the winning and start playing satellites for the Main Event. Those satellites start as low as $5.50 for the tournament that technically requires a $450 buy-in. But with a $500K guarantee on that prize pool alone, it is worth playing the satellites to try to win a seat.
